The Suzuki Inazuma 250 is a superb commuter
It's so nice to see reviews on the Inazuma after I believe 13 years it was first seen on Indian roads. It was sold in Mexico until 2017, but I failed to get my hands on a new one. Great VFM motorcycle, a true Volvo on 2 wheels. Cheers guys!
I like that phrase - a Volvo on two wheels...I might have to use that one myself! :D
I also!
Enjoy!
fire
Thanks Captain :)
Did my test on one of these many years ago, very solid reliable bikes and more than fast enough for uk roads,
Yes, agree - 'bullet proof' as the old saying goes!
Hi awesome bike got 3 as parts one rebuilding unfortunately in Australia it was a 250 n 3 year model run 83 to 85 major weak point plastic oil pump gear 3 parts bikes had teeth on gear missing bike rebuilding had new one installed b4 I bought it check it asap
Yeah that plastic oil pump gear is brought up a lot. Fortunatley, mine came with a spare engine so I swapped the oil filter gauge thing and also the plastic gear as they were in better condition in the spare engine.
@@thomascharnock yeah sorry didn’t see later video till after comment good you checked z power has a new oil pump gear if you need it part # 13216-1031 . if needed master cylinder eye sight glass can be replaced with oil sight glass from Kawasaki 52005-1009 bit of sanding on inner n outer surfaces but worth it looks awesome.thanks for reply
Recently bought hurricane for my land zen4 and RTX 4070 laptop😁 . Had and have DC played version .quite impressed about psx version. N64 seems slower and very blurry at spots (mountains ). That was really a hardware design fault. Airside from polygon pushing
Yeah Hurricane is a belter! Thanks for commenting :)
Its crazy how much power they were able to squeeze out of the xbox at the end of its reign.
Totally agree!
3:10 this is not a stock screen. This is a double bubble where stock screens have a single contour. 7:06 Water temperature gauge. 9:10 Coolant system cap. 9:30 This has to be one of the worst headlights fitted to a Kawasaki. Wait til you do ride it at night. I see why you like this bike as much as I do mine. Those that have never ridden one will not understand. I was the second owner of mine when the original owner bought a new Hayabusa, then six months later he bought a pre 2000 unrestricted Hayabusa. Two months later he came back to me asking for his ZZR back (with a good margin on top), of course I said no.
Thanks for the corrections - I'm no expert! And yes, they are great bikes...I would have another one in a heartbeat.
Fascinating. Thinking about getting one, had a couple of opposed twins in the past.
Great bikes, but there are some well documented common issues online. If you can find a good one, then I would say go for it.
This was my 2 nd bike after i passed my test couldnt fault it tbh
That's nice to hear, especially looking at all the negative press these bikes seem to have had. I never really had any issues either.
Is it really waterproof?
I would say yes...to a degree. Like, if you're in a mild bit of rain, they work well, but if you're in a total downpour I imagine water would seep through. That said, I've used in all weathers and they have been perfectly waterproof for me.
Only had one temporarily as a get me by and was amazed at what fun it was, light, agile, punchy and a joy handling as well as a lovely looking bike, if they retro made a modern version I'd be tempted.
Now there's an idea...a modern 305. That would be awesome!
Thanks.
You're welcome
All Harley Davidson's have turn indicators on the corresponding side you're turning. Plus they self-cancel.
Thanks for the info - I've never ridden a Harley...they're too big and scary haha!
Hey mate, watched a few of the videos you made on these and found them very helpful and informative. Im off to pick one up in the morning, same colour scheme and had been in storage for almost 20 years. Cant wait to ride it home :)
Awesome mate, hope it treats you well!
I had a 1994 gpz305 , same colour... Reg M***EAM.... Wish i still had mine
This will never be released...
Sadly I feel the same...!
Does anyone here have any idea what says or means? 〲㌲〭ⴳ〲㈠㨳〵〺04 01:22:28 The BOBLOV 007 I bought from Ali Express keeps changing the timestamp to the year 2112 or 0963/34/48 32:12? I told the seller what it was doing he came back with smartass programming nonsense. I f-ing told him I carefully followed the instructions that came with the device or came from the seller. I have used both Linux and Windows 11 to test it and the same bullshit results. Ali Express has set it up I pay the return postage. Bloody cheeky cunts! I said no so looks like the seller gets away with it and Ali Express loses a customer. The amount of time I spent with their fucking awful chat box must amount to many hours now. If I were you a potential buyer I would steer clear of this device because it is total pish!
The catalytic converter is built into the end can change it and it sounds much better
Thanks for the tip :)
Belly pan is worth it, my boxeye came with one already fitted and it makes the look so much better IMO
I was constantly looking for a belly pan but I could never find one for a reasonable price, sadly. I no longer have the Fazer but they are exceptional bikes and I would certainly have one again. Safe riding!
How do people consider this vs the mad catz one?
I'm not sure to be honest, I didn't even know there was a MadCatz variant. The more you know...!
Yes I got one just to see, they are what they are, eg you usually get what you pay for to some degree, but good for evidence etc, I found the sound quality is pretty good though for a £30 device. Gaz Yorkshire.
Yes Gaz, I totally agree - they are well worth the moeny and better than nothing if the worst comes to the worst and evidence is needed.
@@thomascharnock Correct, thanks, Gaz.
This camera is a nightmare to set the timestamp. I am stuck in 2112/04/24. It just keeps changing the time to half-Chinese characters and the time. I carefully went through the instructions like 30 times so far and it will not set the timestamp. It is totally useless if the time can't be set.
I think there's a way to change the timestamp etc by editing the text file that's on the SD card
@@thomascharnock It is a nightmare. It worked once then changed to some oriental language translate says it is Japanese. The year timestamp is 2112 April. I tried like 100 times to get it to 2024 it will not do that. At the moment I am in negotiation to return it to the seller through Ali Express and that is like a really hard game of Sudoku. The returns page is a total nightmare I have no idea what I am agreeing to at all so confusing. The seller has the English of a five-year-old. But as a form of cheap time travel, it is a bargain at 27€. If anyone wants to know what things are like in 2112 then it seems to be much the same shite as now. Except futuristic shite :)
I completely agree with you that grown people should invest in a good bike from some respectable producer. Several months ago I've bought also Trek FX 2 Disc but newer 2x9 Shimano Altus/ Acera drivetrain version from 2023. that cost me around 750 Euros (I'm from the European Union member country) and I can say I'm impressed on how great it handles on paved roads that I drive the most but also on light gravel. It has fairly smooth speed shifting, excellent built quality and very satisfying comfort for the most part. Since I don't have to use it for commuting I use it mostly for fitness and joyrides through city in flat area. I can recommend it to absolutely anyone looking for versatile hybrid bike that'll perform great in all sort of situations. Greetings from Croatia, European Union
Merci pour la vidéo .
Really useful. Looking to use my 2010 fs11 to start blogging before I invest in something else. Think thus will work. For static videos
Thanks for your comment. Yes I think as a basic starter camera it will work fine. You might need something else to record good audio but it's perfectly useable. Cheers :)
how does the zzr1200 compare ?
I'm not sure - I haven't ridden a 1200 but from what I can tell they're also great bikes
Do replace that rear tire for something sticky. I smashed my ZX11 on the road a week ago, the rear wheel slipped away at low speed in the rain. The load balance of the ZZR1100 seems a bit much towards the front. Also my advice is to mount a kickstand pad as the original stand is quite tiny and sinks in loose ground. Be carefull with the plastic body, it's fragile and watch out for rusting on bolts and cable fittings. Good luck with your bike and best.
Thanks for your comment mate. Sadly I no longer own the ZZR as it was just too unreliable for commuting on, and I really miss it as it's such an amazing machine. If I ever get another one - which could well happen - I'll take your advice. Thanks and stay safe!
Yup the turn indicators are ridiculous, especially the "cancel" function on the throttle side. I nearly launched myself into an intersection when I first got my F800 GS when I inadvertently rollled on some throttle while trying to push that stupid button. I suppose if you rode only BMW's, you would get used to it, but I have no idea what the point of this setup is.
Mate, they are utterly ridiculous aren't they? I've now gotten used to the placing of the turn signal buttons but like you said, that cancel button is so stupidly placed. Just today I had the same issue you described while riding to work. Turned a corner and tried to cancel and ended up blipping the throttle almost into the back of a car in front of me. Awful system.
@@thomascharnock Haha, designed to keep us paying attention to what we are doing, I guess. I would rather they stop short of attempting to kill us for making a mistake though, because it doesn't take much force to crack the throttle on these bikes.
I am on my 3rd ZZR1100, a 97 model which is needing alot of work, my previous ones were a 98 and a 95, my previous 2 had a Corban custom seat, this 97 has a Rider custom seat but am putting a Corban onto it. These machines are an icon
Yeah you're right - absolutely iconic bikes. I haven't got mine anymore as it was just a pain to keep running but I think there's a good chance I'll get another one in time if the right one pops up for sale! Ride safe 👍
thanks
Never start her on side stand ....
Thanks for the video! Just about to do this job on my 2014. I really like the color of your CB. I don't think Honda brought the white ones to the US.
My pleasure and thanks for your comment. Happy riding (once you've done the filter change!)
Spot on , cheers 👍🏍️🏴
Thanks for watching :)
@@thomascharnock Hey, how about 2nd gear problem? Is this common problem on this model or just abuse problem?
I am currently looking it one do you think it would be confortable for a 6ft plus guy..
Hi, I'm about 5ft 10 and it fits fine, I don't hink you'd have any issues but definitley give it a test ride first. Good luck, and happy riding if you buy it!
I rode one of those in blue, when I took my test in 1998. I have to say I did not like it much, but I think it was more do with it being a training school bike. I ended up buying a Kawasaki ZXR400 which was completely different. The ER5 is a good looking bike and that one is in amazing condition.
Yeah you're spot on mate - I think a lot of training schools used them back in the day as they're just good basic workhorses. I don't own the one in the video anymore but it was solid while I owned it, never skipped a beat.
Box thing on the right is your water coolant filler
Cheers for your comment and the pointer :)
Saudações do Reino Unido :)
Blah blah blah. 🙈🙈🙈🙈
I know - I don't half talk some sh*te!
PS defo want to see you do the race.
Haha - I'd come last by a significant margin. Slowing down to 20mph on every bend
Great story mate!
Hi how is this helmet after 9 months of the video? Considering this one
Hey, I still use my Sena daily - it's a superb helment. The built-in comms are fantastic, I couldn't imagine going back to a helmet without them just built in as standard. I mainly use the connectivity to listen to podcasts when I ride long distances, but I also use it to answer calls when I'm on the road and people who I'm speaking to don't even realise I'm on a bike, speaking from inside a helmet, as the audio is so clear (so they tell me). The battery seems to last several weeks between charges, too. The only thing is that the standard visor isn't pinlock enabled, so I've had to stick a cheap fake one on the inside (got it from Amazon) but it seems to work OK. I need to buy a pinlock one from the Sena website sooner or later, but that can wait. I would happily say it's one of the best helmets I've owned, but I haven't ever used a 'prestige' helmet like a SHOEI to compare it to, so I can't compare it so something like that. I'm happy with it though.
Awesome story Tom! Sounds like a great experience. At one point I was expecting you to say that you found a Saturn in Milan, sat down and played Manx TT with him haha. 😋
Haha - I wish mate! I did have a quick look around for anything gaming-related, but couldn't really find any gaming shops or anything. I'm guessing most people spend their time outside as the weather is so much nicer over there!
@@thomascharnock That’s true mate! Did you get chance to check out the Bergamo? Absolutely insane cathedral that.
Cool story bro............ Ah i was hoping that you found a retro shop in Milan and showed him it or via emulation or something, be cool to know if he ever really tried it though?
Cheers mate. I might try following up with him, but I'm sure he's busy with more important things...like actual motorbike racing haha!
Ha! Cool.
Thanks mate. In the absence of anything else remotely interesting to talk about I thought that would make a timely story given the TT coming up 😅
PASSSSSING THE CHEEECK POINT!
Played it again very recently so I can actually hear that in my head 😂
Ok that’s cool!
Thanks mate 😂
You get used to the indicators eventually. And they are self cancelling after about 300 meters, because BMW thought of that :) The last issue I have with them which sadly cannot be fixed, is if you're in a turn and you try to accelerate out of the turn - your thumb is nowhere near where you need it to be to press the cancel button. Oh well, I'm glad BMW have abandoned this design on their newer motorcycles.
Hi Tony, yes you're totally right. I've gotten the hang of the indicators now, but still have the odd moment where I try to cancel them and end up blipping the throttle. It's very annoying placement but I can live with it. Thanks for your comment.
The heated grips were not standard - mine came without them. You've a great bike, but it does look like an F800S - as someone already meantioned, the ST never had red fairings.
Yep, you're spot on. It's an S with an ST fairing stuck on. I don't mind though, guess it makes it one of a kind! Thanks for commenting :)
First 2.5 minutes of this was about a motorbike helmet. 🤦♂️
I was building suspense 😂
